Yeah it all seems so weird (in a good way) when viewed using the wide lens.

I know what you mean. I borrow ~MHNation's 10-22mm on occasion and it definitely distorts things, particularly objects close to you.

I wanted the Canon wide but it was a few hundred more than the Sigma. It was a gift from my brother and my parents but I didn't feel like having them pay more

Would've been nice.

Fair enough. I really want a lens that wide, and though none are an option at this stage, the sigma would be the likely candidate.

I start a job at Ted's Cameras on Thursday

Obviously I'll only have it until the end of the holidays, but when I come back up to Sydney I'll try to get another job at Teds in one of the eastern suburbs stores for during the year. Since I'll get a staff discount if you need anything camera related you could always drop me a line
